apparently while much of Iraq voted and revelled and cavorted and flag waved, a certain number of detainees rioted in one of the prisons. Several were shot and killed.
Guards said that the inconsiderate rioting was brought on by simple routine inspections.
"Relax - we're just going to use this torch to look up your arse ... "

My given names are Christine Leigh and I work under either one - Leigh Langtree or Christine Langtree. I used to use Leigh primarily for music and Christine for more serious writing but over time, these pursuits are overlapping and I must admit I like the alliteration. My books: How to be a Child published by Melbourne University Press and Naked - Confessions of Adultery and Infidelity edited by myself and Kylie Ladd and published by Allen and Unwin. My favourite thing though is film. My film, Mother of an Attitude, directed by Pricilla Cameron and produced by Heather Philips, won a couple of awards on the national film festival circuit and I am going to make a feature film, The Phoenix, before 2011. See if I don't.
